Subject: Mixing in LA!!!!!!!!!!! Well let's see.....
I'm
in La with Corey and Will mixing the acoustic EP! Well I'm listening to Jimbo
mix and doing the typical (Sounds good man) musician thing. The songs really take
a new life on acoustically. I'll give ya'll a little diary of some events that
have happened so far out here in sunny CA! Well a bunch of nothing. Disturbed
played last night at the House of Blues. Will and Corey saw the show. They said
the show was good and really enjoyed the Blood Simple show. They're an amzing
band if your into to heavy shity. Great guys. You know, LA just bothers me sometimes.
It's expensive as hell and instaed of the passive laid back attitude it's incorperated
an New York (I don't like you get out of here) vibe. But in New York I expect
that and it fits but out here the weathers too nice to be pissed. I do enjoy it
out here. I'm really excited to release this EP. It's playing in the background
right now. Brett can just sing.. period. Very proud to be in the band with all
these guys.
On the touring front, well we're gonna tour some. Expect alot
of touring starting in late March or April. I can't say right now but the tour
we're trying to jump on is gonna be great if it pans out. We're looking forward
to getting back out there and test driving some new songs for ya'll. Yeah, I'm
a redneck and still use the word (ya'll). Anyway, I'm gonna keep it short before
I bore all of you. I hope it's not too late for that.
I love all YA"LL!!!

Well Hello There! Hey
you guys and gals. I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would give you guys
a shout. I just finished packing for our trip to Seattle. We have never been there
so I am very excited. As a matter of fact I have only been there once personally
with Creed, and I was locked in the venue the whole day. Needless to say, it will
be nice to see the city this time. I hope our fans up in the great northwest will
make it out. We are looking forward to meeting you guys. As
for the rest of you, I miss you all and hope you are doing well. We are stoked
about our little holiday run. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Keep calling
your stations and requesting Pieces. It is doing pretty well so help us kick it
into high gear. Well I guess that's
it. If I don't see you all, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa,

- OMG! The Willis Update: post from DND
on Myspace Hi. I know I never say anything on here, but I
do check it out all the time, and its bad-ass to see all the cool stuff everyones
sayin about our band. Thank you guys very much! So Corey says that I should tell
everyone whats up, so I'm gonna start a new series called "Words of Willis"-
an update feature brought to you by me. We're just finishing up an acoustic album
thats gonna have an orchestra on it........its so cool. This may or may not take
some people by suprise, but youve gotta here it. We tracked six songs that are
on 12 year silence and two new tracks. I think everyones gonna love it. Its amazing
that its done on acoustic guitars and drums, 5 guys singing and an orchestra......really
simple and organic, and its very dark and still definately rocks!!! We did it
because weve had some succes with doing acoustic performences at radio or in stores.
We wanted people to have these versions of these songs because we really enjoy
playing them like this and for some reason it makes the songs sound even creepier.
It should be out around the 1st part of the new year, so watch for it. Also ,
we're playing in Atlanta on this friday at a cool new place called the Darkside.......come
one, come all!!!! We've got some more dates in November and December so check
the schedule and come see us! These shows are gonna rip for sure......last shows
of the year so they gotta count!!!! We cant wait to get back out there and see
everyone!

Forum Board: Studio update!!! Hello ya'll!!
Well I'm sitting
in the studio and I can hear Brett singing in the back. He's truly an amazing
singer and to sit and listen to him and be in the same band is a honor. Everything
sounds really good. Everyone's playing really well and we've laughed so hard our
stomachs hurt. It's been fun to say the least. We gotta an English guy named Jimbo
engineering and co producing it with us. He's really cool and knows he's stuff.
Can't wait for you to hear it. We work about 16 hours a day but only have 5 days
to track this. The songs take a whole different life on acousticly. The songs
you haven't heard yet I think your gonna love. I love playing in this band.
I
can't wait to do some shows and start working on some more of the next full length
record. Everyone in the band is writing some bad ass stuff. It's gonna be a crazy
new record. We have some things to express and vent on. We have some great experiences
to pull from to inspire us. All of you have inspired us.
I've been staying
with Troy at night and his wife and new born son Micheal have been so good to
hang with. Troy and I listened to some old tapes that we made of rehearsals from
years ago. We were like 15 years old taping band practices. We laughed till 5
in the morning listening one night. We have to post some of it so you can check
it out. Just to give you an idea of what it's like, our band name was SATIN DAGGER!!!

MySpace: First I would like to thank everyone for their support
from coming out to the shows and buying our CD 12 year silence. We hope to keep
building our fan base and a better live show. There is so much more we are going
to do coming up soon so I hope everyone is ready. We are going back in the studio
to do an acoustic EP with a new song on it and working on ideas for a DVD. We
are also going back out on tour from the 18th till x-mas and looking forward to
seeing ya’ll then. Hopefully this EP will be released sometime in the beginning
of the year. "Pieces" is starting at radio now so feel free to call
your local radio station and request it. It is you who can truly make a huge differents
when you call them. We know this from the push "Brother" had. We can’t
thank ya’ll enough for calling and requesting that song it got us up to TOP
5. DarknewDay fans are the best no doubt. That’s the update for now check
back soon we are going to be updating the blogs more often. See ya on the road!!!

Forum Board Hello all!!
Well we've been off for a few
days now and as most of you know Troys a daddy now. Crazy!! We grew up together
and now he has a kid. I'm soo happy for him. Just wanted to let everyone know
what was going on in DnD land. We're moving a few things around right now and
trying to reschedule some dates we had to postpone. I'd like to thank everyone
for understanding the importance of Troy being home for this and we will make
up all the dates as promised. We're going to go into the studio on the 12th of
Nov. to do an acoustic EP. It's gonna have some songs off of 12 year silence and
a few new things. Our goal in this is to make this as organic and creepy as possible.
We're gonna add a few different elements to the songs to give them a whole different
feel.
But make no mistake, we've already started work on a new record and
I'll just say it's going to define us as a band. We're gonna take our time and
make sure it's everything it can be. That's why we're starting so early. There's
alot up in the air as far as next year touring and releases but you'll be the
first to know any developments. Hope you had a good Halloween and if we don't
see you before the holidays have a great one. Thank you for you support and we'll
see you soon.

Forum Board What's up everyone.
Just wanted to say
hello and express how good it is to be home for a second. The tour with Seether
and Crossfade was incredible as I said before and I already miss them. We're getting
ready to step out on our own for awhile and do a small headline run. We're gonna
hit some spots we've already been and a few new places. After the 3 week run we're
doing in October we plan on taking another small break and doing a longer headline
run, concentrating on some west coast stuff since we haven't played many dates
over there. Looking forward to that for sure. Also we're putting together an awesome
package for the November tour and if we get who I wanna get it's gonna be awesome.
We're releasing Pieces as the next single so again we could use your help
on getting some request and stuff like that. You know what to do because you kick
so much ass on Brother. We're already writing for the new record and all I'm gonna
say is that if it comes out the way I thinks it's going to it will be the best
record I've ever been involved with. We've had a chance to become a band and not
just guys that wanted to work with one another. We've had a chance to play alot
of shows together and any thing we feel that we can do better or expand on creatively
we're gonna do it on the next record.
Until then we have alot of touring
and work to do on 12 year silence. OHHHH the main reason I'm writing, we're gonna
be filming the first few shows on the next run starting in Orlando and ending
in Atlanta. We're getting footage for a Pieces video and some stuff we want to
put up on the site so you guys can see how cool you look from our perspective.
